  • New Build

Almost finished with the new build. Got bogged down installing Windows 10 on the M2 SSD. Was having multiple boot issues. A little swearing, through the odd thing and read a lot its all good. Just have to install the other storage drives and cable management then install all game devices and DCS software. Of course the inevitable overclocking will begin.

I'm gonna have to do that in a year or two. I don't mind building it, but I'm not looking forward to spending the $$.

      What're your new specs?

Looks nice so far. Thought about building a new rig too, but as long as you can’t get a significant performance boost within DCS it is not worth the money in my opinion.

Still happy with my current setup when I think about how long I use it already.

I7 9700k overclocked to 5.0, 32 GB Ram, Asus ROG Strix Z390-E Motherboard, Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 OC, working on overclock, Case Cooler Master H500, CPU Cooling Noctua NH-12A, Samsung 970 250 GB M2 ssd for windows 10 and Samsung 1Tb SSD for applications. Have room for another stick of M2 ssd so will wait for Black Friday deals and pick up another 1TB. Windows boots crazy fast on the M2 drive.

My old rig was built 9 years ago and upgraded over the years and basically ran it to the max. It is still a good system but not enough to drive the Rift S which I also purchased.
