Good morning,
I'm a 30 year Nova Scotian (Atlantic time EST + 1) former Navy fella. I did 5 years as a Combat Information Operator running radars, data links etc on frigates and destroyers and doing boarding party... now I'm married, living in the boonies and wishing my life's adventures weren't already over so I've been spending inordinate amounts of money on flight sims over the last few years. Currently using an X-56 rhino and track IR. I'm missing the Nevada Test Range but would have no issues purchasing....just need to justify it to my wife.
I have lots of milsim experience in ArmA and IL-2 and around 1000-1500 hours in mixed sims from X-Plane and MSFS but my experience in DCS is limited, which is one of the reasons I wanted to join a unit. I've done the tutorial missions, watched tonnes of YouTube and attempted a couple missions but I need some more structure to fill in the gaps of my knowledge.
I had initially signed up for the main site as "BamBam" then I saw the last guy was Bamz...so I changed it when signing up for this site haha. Not sure if the other matters or not but maybe this can prevent confusion. I'm not huge on picking my own callsign anyway, so I'm open to changing.
